Big time sensuality. That’s a song by Björk, but also the bestest way to describe this new single by French singer Yade. Hope there’s a real video soon:
Sulty soulful sounds from Montréal, by Naima Frank. Third single this year of Naima, the others had a more pop/dancefloor feel. Also nice.

Stella = Stella Zekri, born in Paris, with a German mom and an Algerian dad. She made a name for herself as a DJ, now more and more as a singer. She is based in Berlin, has producer Ed Longo as a musical compadre, and on the upcoming album with her band she let’s loose afro-carribean influences in her highly danceable music. Love this track:
Every now and then, the Spotify algorithm gives you beautiful songs. Like this very laidback track by Ronnie. Who takes inspiration from Clairo, Cigarettes after Sex, Françoise Hardy and (maybe) Francis Lai. Can you name all the sights in this video:
Also very nice, this duet
Duo Colt (Antoine Jorissen, Coline Debry) started as a cover band, and transformed in an electronic pop stronghold, with musical links to anything between UK garage, industrial and (of course) Elli & Jacno.
Here are some examples, the new album is just out:
From Coline Rio’s new album. What a song! Intense.
Veronique Vincent, singer of the Belgian new wave band Honeymoon Killers/Les tueurs de la lune de miel, has passed away. She was 68 years old, suffered of cancer. She will be remembered thanks to her expressive way of singing, great dance songs like Histoire a suivre, cool covers like Laisse tomber les filles and collabs with Laetitia Sadier and more.
Senden Daha Güzel by Duman is a certified Turkish rock classic (93 million streams on Spotify, tons of coverversions on YouTube). It’s a very dedicated love song, and French singer Melanie Pain (who performed with Nouvelle Vague in Turkey several times) made a cool cover. In Turkish, and in French.
