Gorgeous new single by our favourite Canadian sister duo. ‘Less folk, more pop’, as someone mentioned. What’s not to like?

Mexican (!) band Petite Amie, they draw inspiration from everything between Big Thief, Connan Mockasin and Melody’s Echo Chamber, release a very sweet French single:

Not sure how serious we must take this duet, but the plushy, romantic mood, the instrumentation and the glasses are, well, lush.

You can tell that spring’s under way, and summer’s coming. The soulful, sultry songs are lining up. Take this track by Docile:

Heard Sarah on FIP Radio today, loved that deep voice. Bit like Fredda, or Francoise Hardy. This is the single, with Arabic influences. Quite good.
