Mari Posa
From her Facebook: This is Mari Posa’s world : tangy, particular and cryptic. She began to play music one year ago, and composes between her dark influences (The Knife) and 21st century’s pop music.
Royaume A Stockholm will be out nov. 21st 2011 on Yuk-Fü records. This first EP has been remixed by Mike Simonetti, founder of Italians Do It Better (Glass Candy, Chromatics, Appaloosa…).
Listen to her superhusky voice via Soundcloud.
This is a fun cover of Tous les garçons et les filles:
Non merci, pas pour moi.
Coeur de pirate recorded ‘Tous les garcons’ for the final episode of ‘Les Rescapés’, a Québec ‘time-travel’ TV series in 2010. (A reverse of concept in the popular British TV series ‘Life on Mars’). At the end of each episode, over the credits, a modern artiste sings a popular song of the 1960-64 period.
One is Catherine Major singing ‘Dis, Quand Reviendra-tu?’ by Barbara, but this is hard to find on-line and only part of her performance is shown.
CdP must have been proud of her version of ‘Tous les garcons’ as it is uploaded from her own Youtube channel. It has had 774,000 viewings in 1 year (and some enjoyable arguments between viewers in the comments).
‘Tous les garcons’ is not on CDP’s ‘Blonde’ CD and she does not perform it at concerts. She must enjoy keeping it as something to be discovered on-line. Go to:

Pure pop – and there’s nothing wrong with that! If Mademoiselle Nineteen had a synth she’s probably sound like this…
