I do not really get excited when hearing this. Lulu as well as Scarlett are in my opinion not very talented singers and the dramatic orchestration of the original is nowhere to be found in this rendition. It is not significantly enough changed in the arrangement to get a life on its own. For such a theatrical song and a duet with this storyline it’s all sung quite flatly, almost boring or maybe uninterested. A pity.
I know Bardot wasn’t a very good vocalist either but she made the song a spectacle.
